During her years of tenure at SunTrust Bank, Shirley was the recipient of the "Excellence Award" as an Accounts Receivable Collector, for outstanding performance and exceptional customer service. She went on to promote to Claims Department Manager, Collection Department Supervisor, and earned the coveted appointment to a SunTrust Bank Officer in 1989.
