David Bissell has been with Premier Property group since its inception. Before that he was with Exit Realty, but when Exit closed, David joined Christi, along with his son Daniel. This is his sixth year as a realtor. Before being a realtor, David had been retired, having been a pastor, high school Bible teacher and counselor, a university professor, and a college president. Locally, he was the interim pastor of the Ooltewah Adventist Church. David became a realtor mainly to partner with his son. His love for people, his desire to work with his son and his desire to help people were some of the reasons he chose real estate. He genuinely enjoys being of service to sellers and buyers and showing homes. Helping someone find a place or transition from where they are to where they want to be is exciting. David is the husband of one wife of 55 years, three sons and their wives and eight grandchildren. By the grace of God he is cancer survivor for more than three years.

Together with Daniel, we have a website called “In Touch Realtors” www.intouchrealtors.com Our pet peeve is trying to reach a realtor who is always busy or never returns calls. We pride ourselves in responding quickly and in staying in touch. Our website conveniently lists properties by area and price with a special section on log homes, waterfront properties, and land. The website is directly linked to our local Multi Listing Service.

Interests outside of Real Estate

I love music - play the guitar and saxophone and sing, but since having cancer I have not been able to sing high – my wife and I are a musical team
I am an avid jogger, love to play racquetball, walk with his wife, and bike ride
I like watching American football (both college and professional) tennis and Olympic games
I enjoy studying the Bible, reading history, theology and prophesy and I like small groups
I like hanging out with my three sons and their families – we have eight grandchildren

We enjoy weekends out in nature, hiking, boating, swimming, cliff jumping – small ones for me

We like family camps, Cades Cove, Gatlinburg, Hilton Head, beaches, mountains and sunshine
We are also vegetarians – some of our favorite local restaurants are, Molcajetes, Plant Power, The Acropolis, Thai Chili’s, Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel. We are planning to try the Whistle Stop in Ooltewah
